Head, Faculty Development Unit
A Faculty Training and Development Unit (FDU) is specifically focused on designing and implementing programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and professional growth of faculty members.
The Faculty Training and Development Unit plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and success of faculty members, ultimately contributing to the overall quality and reputation of the university.
Units Functions:
- Develop faculty members skills to raise their professional competencies.
- Analyze professional development needs of all faculty members.
- Design faculty professional development plans by the beginning of the academic year based on faculty needs assessment.
- Laise the offering of professional development programs in collaboration with other in academic affairs and other related entities in the university.
- Collaborate with renowned trainers and guest speakers.
- Prepare certificates of attendance for all parties when required.
- Submit a comprehensive report to the VP of academic affairs about all offered programs/events including feedback and expected impact of the offered programs.
