​Bachelor Degree Scholarships


Dar Al-Hekma University is committed to making education affordable by offering comprehensive scholarships, some of which are based on excellence and merit, and some on the need and achievement. Accordingly, the University enables its academically outstanding ​students in all bachelor degree programs to complete their studies and graduate with international standards; thus, empowering them to contribute to and participate in building a bright future for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region in general. Students in the master​​​ majors can also benefit from a variety of ​master degree scholarships.


The following scholarships will be offered upon availability




​​​​​​Covers 20​% of tuition fees and offered to all applicants of the Academic year 2023-2024.​

Applicants to Raiaa Scholarship should fulfill the following criteria:

  • The applicant must have a High School GPA of at least 80% and in case the GPA is below the requirment the applicant case will be referred to the Scholarship Committee
  • The English Proficiency Requirement depending on the program

​​​​​​​​Covers 30​% of tuition fees and offered to applicants who fulfill the following criteria:

  • The applicant must have a High School GPA of at least 90% 
  • Qudurat score of 65 (for local educational systems)
  • The English Proficiency Requirement depending on the program

​​​​​​Covers 40% of tuition fees and offered to applicants who fulfill the following criteria:
  • The applicant must have a High School GPA of at least 95% 
  • Qudurat score of 70 (for local educational systems)
  • The English Proficiency Requirement depending on the program

Covers 50% of tuition fees and offered to applicants who submit evidence of financial need and fulfill the following criteria:
  • The applicant must have a High School GPA of at least 95% 
  • Qudurat score of 70 (for local educational systems)
  • The English Proficiency Requirement depending on the program

Financial Documents required to apply for Dar Al-Hekma Scholarships

An applicant must submit evidences of financial need as follows:

  • Employer's certificate specifying the monthly income of parents/guardian as follows:
    1. ​For employees in the private sector : Statement of monthly income provided by the General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) Or a Letter about the salary endorsed by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.​
    2. For employees in the government sector : Statement of the monthly income provided by the workplace.
    3. For self-employed persons or business owners: Bank statement for the past six months in addition to Certificate of Registration at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the main institution.
    4. For unemployed persons: Statement from the District Chief verifying the family size and the number of dependents on the head of the family.
    5. For a deceased parent/guardian: Death certificate and a monthly income certificate for the current family financial supporter.
    6. Copy of the residence rent contract (if any).
    7. A certificate verifying the education tuition fees for all the family members.
    8. Copy of Absher screen showing all student's parent/guardian dependents (for non-Saudi), Copy of Family Identification Card (for Saudi)
    9. Any other related financial documents.​

​​​​​​​​Covers full tuition fees (100%) and offered to four ​applicant​s as follow:

-          A student for Programs of Business and Law

-          A student for Programs of Design and architecture

-          A student for Programs of Health, Behavioral Sciences and Education

-          A student for Programs of Computing and Informatics

To be considered for Dar Al-Hekma Merit Scholarship, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:
  • The applicant must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 99%
  • Qudurat and Tahsili scores not less than 95% (required from Local educational systems only)
  • SAT score not less than 1400 (required from International Schools students)
  • The English Proficiency Requirement depending on the program​​​​​
  • Final percentage of awarded students should not be less than 97% and percentages will be calculated as follow:
    • For Local Schools: 40% of High School Percentage + 30% of Qudurat Score + 40% of Tahsili Score)
    • For International Schools: 80% of High School Percentage + 20% of SAT Score)
  • Setting for the Personality Interview in the Academic Support and Wellness Center at Dar al-Hekma University 
  • Passing the Scholarship Committee interview​


​- This scholarship is offered annually in Fall semester

​​​​Covers full tuition fees and awarded to five outstanding freshman applicants with solid academic standing in one of the following dimensions: 

  1. Holy Quran
  2. Sport 
  3. Art 
  4. Technology ​​and Sciences
  5. Culture 

To be considered for a Dar Al-Hekma Talent Scholarship, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Quran Memorizing Scholarship:
  • High School score equivalent to 95% or above
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • A Qudurat score not less than 70% (not required from International Schools students)
  • Sitting for the Scholarship Committee interview
  • Taking the Professional Interest Test
  • Evidence of outstanding Quran performance as follows:
    • Has participated in national or international events
    • Has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies 
  • Applicants will be evaluated of their Quran memorizing by the Scholarship Committee and Dar Al-Hekma University Sheikha, to be eligible in the scholarship
All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.



Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Sports Scholarship:
  • A high school score equivalent to 85% and above
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • A Qudurat score not less than 65% (not required from International Schools students)
  • The required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
  • Evidence of excellent sports performance as follows:
    • Has played/served with DAH and/or another sports team
    • Has participated in national or international sports events
    • Has a membership with an official Sports Club
    • Has won sports related prizes or trophies
All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.



Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Technology and Science Scholarship:
  • A high school score equivalent to 95% 
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • A Qudurat and Tahsili tests scores not less than 70% (required from Local Schools students)
  • The required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
  • Evidence of outstanding art showcase as follows:
    • Has participated in national or international events / galleries
    • Has a membership with an official club
    • Has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies
All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.



Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Art Scholarship:

Art includes: Fine arts, Sculpture, Photography, Graphic Design and other Artistic Talents

  • A high school score equivalent to 85% 
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • A Qudurat score not less than 65%
  • The required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
  • Evidence of outstanding art showcase as follows:
    • Has participated in national or international events / galleries
    • Has a membership with an official club
    • Has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies
All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.


Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Culture Scholarship:

Culture includes: Poetry, Public Speaking, Theater Arts, and other Cultural Arts 

  • A high school score equivalent to 85% and above for applicants coming from a General High School (for all educational systems)
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or it equivalents
  •  A Qudurat score not less than 65%
  • The required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
  • Evidence of excellent performance as follows:
    •  Has participated in DAH Talent Show and / or other talent shows;
    • Has a membership with an official club
    • ​ Has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies


​- This scholarship is offered annually in Fall semester.

​​It is a full scholarship offered by Hessah Al Qubaisi scholarship program. The scholarship will cover full scholarships on the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity​

To be considered for Hessah Al Qubaisi Scholarship Program, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

  • Applicants should be of a Saudi nationality, or born in Saudi Arabia
  • applicants coming from a General High School must have a high school score equivalent to 97% or above, and applicants coming from International Schools & IGSCE must have a high school score equivalent to 92% or above.
  • A score of 500 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • A Qudurat test score not less than 92%
  • A Tahsili Score not less than 92%
  • The required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews


​- This scholarship is offered annually in Fall semester

- All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The University offers Scholarships on tuition fees following the University policy for the below cases​:

  • Additional scholarship on Raia and Al-Elm scholarships of 10% for siblings studying at Dar Al-Hekma for second sister/brother provided that they are registered in the same semester.
  • ​Additional scholarship on Raia and Al-Elm scholarships of 10%​ for employees and children of the Medical Staff of the ​​Ministry of Health
  • Additional scholarship on Raia and Al-Elm scholarships of 10%​ for​ ​​Dar Al-Hekma University Alumna
  • Additional scholarship on Raia and Al-Elm​ scholarships of 15%​ for​ employees and children of Soldiers at the southern border
  • A scholarship of 50%​ for​ employees of Dar Al-Hekma and immediate family members of employees (parents, siblings, spouses, son or daughter).​
  • A scholarship of 100%​ for​​ children of martyrs of duty
  • A scholarship ​​for​ employees and children of Banks, Companies, and Schools who signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dar Al-Hekma University (percentage as per MOU)


Conditions for the continuity of AlElm and Raiaa Scholarships:

  • The student must obtain a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.5 out of 5 for Raiaa Scholarship and 3.75 out of 5 for AlElm Scholarship in each semester. In case the CGPA is not met, the university has the right to warn the student and reduce the discount rate, and if the situation continues, the university can withdraw the scholarship (according to the university policy approved in this regard the condition
  • The student is obligated to register a number of credit hours per semester in accordance with the study plan for each major, so that this does not affect the time period for completing the study in four or five years for a bachelor's degree, depending on the program.
  • It is allowed to change the major after the student starts studying only if this does not affect the time period to complete the study infour or five years for a bachelor's degree, depending on the program
  • In case of the university withdrawal, the student is required to pay back the percentage of the discount that he/she benefited from throughout the scholarship period, unless it is proven that the reason for the withdrawal is compelling.
  • The scholarship covers summer semester fees


Conditions for the continuity of DAH Excellence Scholarship:

  • The student must obtain a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 4 out of 5 in each semester. In case the CGPA is not met, the university has the right to warn the student and reduce the discount rate, and if the situation continues, the university can withdraw the scholarship (according to the university policy approved in this regard the condition)

  • The student is obligated to register a number of credit hours per semester in accordance with the study plan for each major, so that this does not affect the time period for completing the study infour or five years for a bachelor's degree, depending on the program.

  • It is allowed to change the major after the student starts studying only if this does not affect the time period to complete the study infour or five years for a bachelor's degree, depending on the program

  • In case of the university withdrawal, the student is required to pay back the percentage of the discount that he/she benefited from throughout the scholarship period, unless it is proven that the reason for the withdrawal is compelling.

Note:

  • A student who fulfills the conditions of the scholarship and obtains her scholarship permanently, she is not entitled to apply for another scholarship, nor to combine between two scholarships.
  • Students should be aware that all original records, letters, and other documents provided to the University as part of the scholarship process will be kept at the University.
  • The University reserves the right to evaluate the adequacy of all the official papers submitted for scholarships.
  • All data will be kept in strict confidence.
  • This scholarship covers four/five years of study for a bachelor's degree at Dar Al-Hekma University based on the chosen major.
