​Dar Al-Hekma Services



​​​​​​​​​ ​

​​The nursery at Dar Al-Hekma University (DAH) provides a friendly setting and environment for the children of DAH members where it accepts age groups from two months to three years. The working hours of the nursery are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. ​

​The Health Center provides basic medical services to all enrolled students for no additional charge. The Health Center ​​opens from Sunday to Wednesday from 8 am to 5 pm and Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm.

​​​​​​​​​The Healt​h Center provides the following services:

  • Treatment, and prescription of medication for minor acute illness.

  • ​​​​​​First-aid treatment for indoor injuries and referral to hospitals when necessary.

  • ​​​​​​Laboratory services are outsourced and are therefore at the expense of the student.

  • Administering over the counter medications.

  • ​​​​​​Support students suffering from chronic illness.

  • ​​​​​​​​​A variety of health literature and participates in various health education initiatives.​

Photocopying is available to Dar Al-Hekma members from Sunday – Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm.

  • Overcome difficulties in both their personal and academic lives.

  • Explore feelings and emotions that are related to their experiences.

  • Discover their personal traits and skills.

  • Acknowledge their weaknesses and work towards growth and development.

  • Identify their ambitions, goals and prepare a plan to fulfill them.​

​​Intranet

The University network infrastructure uses high speed gigabit fiber optics that connect all segments of the network to the backbone. The network is designed to provide reliable, high speed connection on a 24/7 basis.

User accounts, emails and network drives

  • Each user in the University has a unique user name and password-protected account to login to the University network.

  • For students to obtain their welcome kits (user account information); they should present a printed schedule to the IT Department

  • The user account will enable the user to have access to university ​resources, such as e-mail address, printing services, internet access, etc.

  • All users are entitled to a dedicated disk space on the server (referred to as H Drive) which can be used for file storage.

  • The students' H drive is accessible from all university ​labs, classrooms and the Library.

Printing services

  • ​Printing services are available to faculty through department printers; heavy duty printers are also available in the Copy Center.

  • Black and white LaserJet printers are available in the labs.

  • Printers will be added automatically to any PC in the labs at login.

  • Color printing services are available in the Mac Labs for GDES students only; AutoCAD Labs are for IDES Students only. These services are also available in the Library at an additional cost.

Internet Access

  • ​Twenty-four hour Internet connection is available for all users. Students can access the Internet from the Labs and the Library. Chatting and social networking sites are not permitted on the University premises.

  • ​​​​Due to bandwidth limitations, students should use Internet services sensibly as per the Internet Usage Policy.


Wireless network

  • ​​The University has wireless Internet coverage in all spaces across the campus.
