Occupational Health and Safety Management System
The Facilities Management and Support Services Department at Dar Al-Hekma University is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for employees, students, contractors, visitors, and other interested parties. The department is dedicated to preventing work-related injuries and ill health while continually improving its Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) applies to all relevant University activities and operations, including:
- Implementing hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures in accordance with ISO 45001:2018.
- Complying with applicable occupational health and safety legal and regulatory requirements.
- Providing safe and healthy working conditions.
- Promoting occupational health and safety awareness and training.
- Preparing for and responding to emergency situations.
- Continually improving the effectiveness of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
This policy is based on the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – ISO 45001:2018 standard. It is communicated to all relevant employees, contractors, and interested parties, and compliance is mandatory. The policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued relevance and updated as necessary.
