​Message from The Dean of HBSE

Welcome to Hekma School of Behavioral Sciences and Education (HBSE), the home for future accomplished leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs, serving in the health and education sectors inthe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As a team of professionals committed to their fields and proud of their diverse backgrounds, our school is positioned to reshape how we train future professionals in education and clinical settings, and how we engage in research and practice that contribute to better outcomes for the community. Our transdisciplinary nature crosses the bridges of education, health, and behavioural sciences, providing as it does a critical edge for a holistic approach to human potential, and meets the ever-growing demand for interdisciplinary research, as well as community engagement and knowledge dissemination.

Our school comprises two departments: Health and Social Sciences and Education. The Department of Health and Behavioural Sciences hosts two undergraduate programs and two postgraduate programs: Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing (SLHS); Bachelor of Science in Psychology (HPSY), Master of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis (MABA), Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP). The department of Education currently hosts one postgraduate degree: Master of Educational Leadership (MEL).

Through those five programs, we generate world-class education, and provide opportunities for experiential learning and community-focused education. Serving nearly 200 students, our school is the destination for an exclusive education and professional training. Our concentrated and focused programs prepare students to enter the education and health and wellness sectors, in which the employment potential for our majors is notable.

We are united in our shared commitment to contribute to the Saudi Vision 2030, especially with regards to preparing professionals equipped with knowledge and skills that would enhance the quality of life of all citizens.
