Dar Al-Hekma University held its second scientific conference in the field of education and pedagogy, “Creativity in Education and Educational Leadership" in partnership with Ejada Education Company, and in the presence of the Director General of Education in Jeddah Governorate, Dr. Nayef Al-Zari. The conference attracted figures with long-standing expertise in the field of education from the Kingdom and from outside the Kingdom. They all gathered and discussed educational and pedagogical challenges and how to overcome them in a way that enhances the educational process and assists it in achieving its goal of preparing creative graduates who will pave their career paths and strive to advance societies.
They also discussed the role of scientific research in improving the educational system, in addition to the effective role of activating partnerships between universities and public education to enhance the educational process in all educational institutions. All the objectives of the conference embodied the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to develop education, keep pace with its developments, and draw inspiration from its latest distinctive experiences at the local and global levels, especially that the Kingdom has attained first places in the world in the field of education.
Dr. Nayef Al-Zari shed light on the actual reality of education in the Kingdom, the development it is witnessing, the efforts exerted by its institutions to raise the level of performance by adopting practical and innovative solutions, and the efforts that its different departments are employing to bridge gaps amongst them to cooperate and exchange experiences at the local, regional, and global levels.
The conference had a section displaying scientific papers and posters, distinguished students' research, and stories that embody the success of schools and teachers in the education sector. There were also enriching workshops offered dealing with scientific research, the educational process, and educational leadership.
The conference came up with positive solutions to the problems and the challenges encountered in the field of education and in educational leadership.
On the other hand, the President of the University, Dr. Abeer Al Doghaither, said that Dar Al-Hekma University is keen on preparing qualified leaders who will be able to carry the noble mission of education. That is why the University launched the master's program in educational leadership, one of the leading programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which offers cutting-edge, up-to-date, and advanced courses in educational leadership.
