Undergraduate Scholarships

The following scholarships will be offered upon availability:

Al-Elm Scholarship offers 32% discount on regular University fees, and unlike other awards, places no special restrictions on students' GPA or credit hours.

To be considered for Al-Elm Scholarship, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

  • a high school score equivalent to 85% for all nationalities;
  • a score of 430 and above on the TOEFL;
  • a Qudurat test score not less than 65%;
  • evidence of financial need.

It is a full scholarship offered annually to one student only.

To be considered for a Dar Al-Hekma Merit Award, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

  • a high school score equivalent to 100% (for all nationalities)
  • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
  • a Qudurat test score not less than 80%
  • a Tahsili Score not less than 80%
  • evidence of financial need
  • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.


It is a partial scholarship offered to students based on Scholarships' availability andcovers four years of study for a bachelor's degree.

To be considered for a Dar Al-Hekma Excellence Scholarship, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

  • a high school score equivalent to 90% and above for applicants coming from a General High School (for all educational systems)
  • a score of 470 and above on TOEFL or its equivalents
  • a Qudurat test score not less than 65%
  • evidence of financial need
  • the required scores for the Admission tests and the scholarship interviews

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision


Dar Al-Hekma Talent Scholarship is awarded each year to five outstanding freshman applicants in one of the following dimensions (Holy Quran, Sport, Technology, Art, and Music)with solid academic standing.

To be considered for a Dar Al-Hekma Talent Scholarship, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Quran Memorizing Scholarship:

    • applicants coming from a General High School must have a high school score equivalent to 95% or above, and applicants coming from International Schools & IGSCE must have a high school score equivalent to 90% or above, for all nationalities irrespective of financial need
    • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFLor its equivalents
    • a Qudurat score not less than 70%
    • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
    • evidence of financial need
    • applicants will be evaluated of their Quran memorizing by the Scholarship Committee and Dar Al-Hekma University Sheikha, to be eligible in the scholarship

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Sports Scholarship:

    • a high school score equivalent to 85% and above for applicants coming from a General High School (for all educational systems)
    • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
    • a Qudurat score not less than 65%
    • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
    • evidence of financial need
    • evidence of excellent sports performance as follows:
      • has played/served with DAH and/or another sports team
      • has participated in national or international sports events
      • has a membership with an official Sports Club
      • has won sports related prizes or trophies

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Technology Scholarship:

    • a high school score equivalent to 95% and above for applicants coming from a General High School in science track (for all educational systems)
    • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
    • a Qudurat score not less than 65%
    • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
    • evidence of financial need
    • evidence of excellent sports performance as follows:
      • has participated in national or international events
      • has participated in one of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) competitions 
      • has won technology related prizes or trophies

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Art Scholarship:

    • a high school score equivalent to 85% and above for applicants coming from a General High School (for all educational systems)
    • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFL or its equivalents
    • a Qudurat score not less than 65%
    • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
    • evidence of financial need
    • evidence of outstanding art showcase as follows:
      • has participated in national or international events / galleries
      • has a membership with an official club
      • has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.

Criteria for Dar Al-Hekma Music Scholarship:

    • a high school score equivalent to 85% and above for applicants coming from a General High School (for all educational systems)
    • a score of 510 and above on the TOEFL or it equivalents
    • a Qudurat score not less than 65%
    • the required scores for the Admission tests and scholarship interviews
    • evidence of financial need
    • evidence of excellent performance as follows:
      • has participated in DAH Talent Show and / or other talent shows;
      • has a membership with an official club
      • has won relevant awards, prizes or trophies

All eligible applicants will have to take a personality test and sit for an interview after which the Scholarship Committee will make the final decision.




*Scholarship conditions for students:

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 every semester.
  • May not change the chosen major.
  • Should participate in various activities and events held at the University.
  • Should not completely withdraw from the University. If a Scholarship student wishes to withdraw, she will be required to pay all of the fees paid on her behalf.
  • Has to register 16-18 credit hours per semester as a minimum credit load.
  • Sports Scholarship students should participate in relevant events and activities at the University and in national and international sports events.
  • Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis according to the decision of the Scholarship Committee.
Dar Al-Hekma Scholarship Advantages
  • The award of the scholarship recognizes the academic merit of the student.
  • Summer courses fees are covered.

    Financial Documents required to apply for Dar Al-Hekma Scholarships

    An applicant must submit evidences of financial need as follows:

    • Employer's certificate specifying the monthly income of parents/guardian as follows:
      • For employees in the private sector : Statement of monthly income provided by the General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) or a Letter about the salary endorsed by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.
      • For employees in the government sector : Statement of the monthly income provided by the workplace.
      • For self-employed persons or business owners: Bank statement for the past six months in addition to Certificate of Registration at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the main institution.
      • For unemployed persons: Statement from the District Chief verifying the family size and the number of dependents on the head of the family.
      • For a deceased parent/guardian: Death certificate and a monthly income certificate for the current family financial supporter.
    • Copy of the residence rent contract (if any). The original is required for verification.
    • A certificate verifying the education tuition fees for all the family members.
    • Copy of Absher screen showing all student's parent/guardian dependents (for non-Saudi), Copy of Family Identification Card (for Saudi)
    • Any other related financial documents.
Note:
  • Students should be aware that all original records, letters, and other documents provided to the University as part of the scholarship process will be kept at the University.
  • The University reserves the right to evaluate the adequacy of all the official papers submitted for scholarships.
  • All data will be kept in strict confidence.
Other discount

The University offers discounts on tuition fees for the following cases:

  • Siblings studying at Dar Al-Hekma will be granted a 10% discount for the first sibling and a 20% discount for the second sibling.
  • Daughters of Dar Al-Hekma University employees are entitled to a 50% discount.
